Maximum of 10 participants per class. Each student will be provided with comprehensive course notes. To ensure that all participants get as much hands on practice as possible, we also provide a practice pack and a pocket face mask for each student.

Course Duration

3 Full Days, 8 hours per day - 24 hours in total. The course can be run over three consecutive days or alternative arrangements can be made to suit participant requirements.

Certification

Following successful completion of the course and examinations, participants will be awarded a QQI (Fetac) Level 5 Certificate in Occupational First Aid. This certificate is recognised by the Health & Safety Authority and is valid for 2 years from the date of issue after which individuals would need to complete a one day refresher course to stay certified as occupational first aiders.

Additional Note

This course is classified in the QQI (Fetac) system as a component award (minor). It provides 5 credits. These credits can be used toward a bigger (major) award e.g. healthcare assistant. Every course is different so Work Wise strongly advises that anyone intending to use their occupational first aid results towards another award, that they inform themselves fully about the requirements and credits allowance for the course they intend to complete. Work Wise cannot be held responsible for administrative issues with other courses.
